Collecting information before uninstalling Athene - syncsort_capacity_management - 12 - 12.40

Core

Record the current Athene install directories. The default Core application install directory for older versions of Athene is C:\Program Files (x86)\Athene.

Core - Concentrator

• Record the current install directories. The default Core application install directory for older versions of Athene is C:\Program Files (x86)\Athene.

• Record the current Port settings and Concentrator Name. These details can be found in the registry in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Met­ron\AtheneCC.

  

• Record the Concentrator username and password, typically created during the Core software install.

Portal

• Create a copy of the UserSettings.xml. By default, Athene saves UserSet­tings.xml in C:\ProgramData\Metron\AthenePortal.

  • The default portal name has changed to SyncsortCapacityManagementPortal from AthenePortal starting v12.40.

• Record the current Portal install directories. The default Portal install directory for older versions of Athene is C:\Program Files (x86)\Athene Portal Web Site.

• Record any changes to the web.config file.

  • For example, any of the <appSettings> keys

  • By default, Athene saves web.config in C:\Program Files (x86)\Athene Portal Web Site\AthenePortal.

Security

For application pools, record the current Identity in the Application Pools settings in IIS Manager.

If you use the built-in ApplicationPoolIdentity and created a site using the default Portal name ‘AthenePortal’ then you must change the SQL server login within SQL Server Management Studio. By default, the login is ‘APPPOOL\AthenePor­tal’ and you must change it to ‘APPPOOL\SyncsortCapacityManagementPortal’.

Job Scheduler

Record the database details in Metron.Athene.Job.Scheduler.exe.config and any changes made in the <appSettings> keys. By default, Athene saves Met­ron.Athene.Job.Scheduler.exe.config in C:\Program Files\Athene Job Sched­uler.
