System Manager is used to define the Capture and Collection details of the Targets.
The Concentrator requests a list of Targets and their capture and collection details from the Control Center.
The Concentrator Manager is used to specify the credentials for the Targets.
The Concentrator Service uses these credentials to connect to Targets, send capture profiles and collect raw data files.
The Concentrator Service regularly "pushes" (via HTTPS) the data to the Syncsort Capacity Management Control Center, where it is processed into the Capacity Database.
While a Concentrator is always used when deploying a Syncsort Capacity Management Cloud solution, any organization can use a Concentrator if their Syncsort Capacity Management implementation spans multiple domains.
Essentially it splits the work of a standard Control Center into two distinct components, one for the collection of the performance data (the Concentrator) and one for the processing of the data into a standard Capacity Database.
