Instead of capturing data via a bequeath connection you can also capture data either locally or remote using the Acquire via the listener and a secure Oracle wallet.

The secure wallet contains aliases which include related username and password information for database authentication. Within the Oracle target details section in the System Manager application, you will find the new section as displayed below:

Wallet Alias      orapdb1

 

If this box is populated, then the Acquire will attempt to connect to this database via the associated Wallet alias credentials.

To setup and enable secure local or remote listener connections via the Oracle Wallet, refer to Using the Oracle Listener with Acquire for UNIX or Linux.
