You will now be asked if you want to install either:

  • Core applications (Control Center, Client Applications, etc).

  • Concentrator – a cut down version of Control Center that collects the data from Acquires and Integrator tar­gets and transfers it to a Core Control Center that inputs the data into a Capacity Database.

This section covers the installation of the Core applications. If you want to install the Concentrator application, refer to Installing the SCM Core Software.

Important – Control Center installation, working folders, and Capacity Database

The Working Folders are where inbound (collected performance data) and outbound (Capture Profiles) data is stored while waiting to be processed by the Control Center. By default, the location is C:\ProgramData\Metron\Work, but the location of these folders can be changed to other drives on the system.
