Acquire and Syncsort Capacity Management provide the ability to collect and report on a summary of Websphere Application Server (WAS) subsystem activity by processing certain subtypes of SMF type 120 records:
Memory/heap information (Subtype 3)
J2EE activity (Subtype 6)
Web application activity (Subtype 8)
By default, WAS data will be processed by Acquire. To avoid it entirely set the control card WAS=N.
To control what data is passed through set the control card (or allow to default) WAS=Y and set WASOPTS=abc, where:
a : Y to include memory/heap information or N to not include this
b : Y to include J2EE application activity or N to not include this
c : Y to include web application activity or N to not include this
The default is WASOPTS=YYY. Any combination apart from WASOPTS=NNN is permissible.
