Acquire processes data that has been dumped out to sequential files from either z/VM’s MONITOR facility, or from Velocity Software’s zVPS product (formerly called ESAMON).
You cannot process more than one system’s data through Acquire in one pass, you must process each one separately.
The data written by Acquire can be automatically collected by the Control Center component of Syncsort Capacity Management, or can be copied by the user to an appropriate location for processing. Once the data has been imported into the Capacity Database, all further analysis is carried out using Syncsort Capacity Management Windows applications.
