You will now be asked if you want to install either:

  • Core applications (Control Center, Capacity Database and Database Management, etc).

  • Concentrator – a cut down version of Control Center that collects data from Acquires and transfers it to a Core Control Center for entry into a Capacity Database.

This section covers the install of the Concentrator applications you want to install the Core applications, refer to Installing the Syncsort Capacity Management Core Software.

Important! - Concentrator install Working Folders

The Working Folders are where inbound (captured and collected performance data) and outbound (capture and collection profiles) data is stored while waiting to be processed by the Concentrator. By default, the location is C:\ProgramData\Metron\Work, but the location of these folders can be changed to other drives on the system.

If you need to change the location of the Concentrator working folders, this has to be done on the first pass through the Intall Wizard. You cannot change the location later, for example by using the Modify facility of the Installer.

The Concentrator Working Folders location can only be changed during the install phase.
