Upgrading is only possible from Syncsort Capacity Management v12.00 or later.
To upgrade from an older version of Syncsort Capacity Management or any version of Athene, you must uninstall the older version and then install this one. Please note that the Syncsort Capacity Management installer can detect a previously installed version of Athene, but does not reliably instruct you to manually uninstall it.

Stop the Control Center and Scheduler services and stop using all reporting applications.

Back-up your existing Capacity Database(s).

Perform the upgrade by running the setup.exe program to replace your existing Syncsort Capacity Management installation.

Run the Upgrade Database utility against all databases to condition their structure to match the new software.

Restart the Control Center and Scheduler services and resume use of reporting applications.
