If you do not want an attribute (field/column) analyzed for a join, you can indicate this in the Attribute Properties window. This feature requires that you set properties individually for each attribute in an entity that you do not want included in the join.

To remove an attribute from a join

  1. In the Navigation View, expand the entity with which you want to work.
  2. Right-click an attribute and select Edit Attribute.

    The Attribute Properties window opens.

  3. In the middle of the window, clear Include in Joins.
  4. Click OK.
