A List View displays metadata and statistical information as columns and rows in a spreadsheet format. When you double-click an object in the Navigation View, the List View shows the data details you’ve requested. You can also display a List View from some of the Metadata Summary Views.
You can select data details in List View columns and rows for further analysis and inquiry. The List View also functions as a report formatter. By displaying the relevant data and customizing the List View, you can create a custom report that you can save in XML, HTML, CSV, tab delimited, or TSQ files.
If your repository administrator selected the Disable access to file system option for your environment, the following options are not available for use:
- Export to local system menu (for entity, projects, and so on) and their corresponding ribbon bar icons.
- Copy menu item.
- Save Layout, Load Layout and Export (from both menu drop-downs and the Ribbon) for E-R diagrams.
