You can use the AP Parser Tuner to review problems reported by the Customer Data Parser or Postal Matcher process and to update the customized definition tables. You can also add, remove, or modify the phrases and token patterns that are used by the Customer Data Parser or Postal Matcher process.

The AP Parser Tuner is used for China (CN), Japan (JP), Korea (KR), and Taiwan (TW).

Guidelines:
  • For Japan, you can use the AP Parser Tuner only for the Customer Data Parser and Standard Postal Matcher. You cannot use it for the Postal Matcher Address Code Edition (ACE).
  • Changes you make with the AP Parser Tuner are cached in temporary files until you click Finish in the Parser or Postal Matcher process.
  • The AP Parser Tuner does not support the Business Data Parser.

To launch the AP Parser Tuner from the Customer Data Parser or Postal Matcher

  1. Open the Customer Data Parser or Postal Matcher for editing.
  2. Select the Tools tab and click Launch Parser Tuner.The Parser Tuner opens, along with the country-specific standard and customized definition files and the Parsing Exceptions Analyzer.
  3. Use the Navigation pane to move among opened files, Word/Pattern Problems and Parser Statistics. Alternatively, you can click the tabs in the Parsing Exceptions Analyzer.
