From the Environment options window, you can:

  • Change the default settings for the Control Center interface, such as the windows, Getting Started page, entity numbers, and repository connection.
  • Change the display font, font size, and font style used by the application when it displays repository data and statistics.
Note: The default font is Microsoft Sans Serif and the default size is 8.

To set your environment preferences

  1. On the Advanced tab, click Options. The Options window opens.
  2. In the left pane, select Environment. Make any desired changes, using the following table as a guide.
    Option Description
At startup, load last used repository server connection

By default, the startup process automatically connects you to the most recently used repository server. If you prefer to select a repository server during startup, disable this option.

Purge files in cache at exit

By default, when you exit the Control Center, Trillium purges all the files stored in its cache during your session. If you prefer to retain cached files, disable this option.

    Show object identity numbers

Trillium assigns every object a unique ID number. By default, these numbers are hidden. If you prefer to display object numbers, click the checkbox to enable the option.

Show Getting Started page at startup Check this box if you want to display the Getting Started page when you open the Control Center. (By default, this setting is enabled.)
Use streamlined login procedure By default, Windows-authenticated users who are already logged into their machine do not have to log in again to start the Control Center. Disable this option if you want to force a user to log in.
Update Metadata Summaries when refreshing Be default, when you click an object like an entity or a project, the Metadata Summary page is automatically refreshed. Disable this option if you want to force a user to manually refresh the Metadata Summary view.
Server Connection Timeout Interval Allows you to customize the number of seconds before the Control Center connection to the Trillium server times out. For example, when you log into the Control Center, a higher timeout interval gives the Trillium server where your repository resides more time to respond to the client request before a timeout occurs. The option accepts values between 60 seconds (one minute) to 600 seconds (ten minutes).
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Apply to save and apply the changes and leave the window open.
    • Click OK to apply the changes and close the window.

The changes you made take effect immediately and remain in effect until you change them again.
