The first step to creating a name and address project is to specify the basics project information.

To specify the basic project information

  1. In the Navigation View, click the Develop bar.
  2. Right-click the Projects tab and select Create project. The Create Quality Project wizard opens.
  3. In Name, type a unique name for the project you want to create.
  4. In Description, type a brief description.
  5. In Type, select Name and Address Project.
  6. If you have purchased the Geocoder tables and would like to include the Geocoder process in a Name and Address project, select Include Geocoding. The Geocoder process enriches your address data by identifying latitude and longitude coordinates for the address.
    Note: The U.S. Postal Matcher provides latitude and longitude data so U.S. projects do not include the Geocoder.
  7. Click Next. The Input Entities window displays. Go to the next procedure to select input entities.
