CPLX01 changes a complex type to a street type if there is no street line in the address. For example, the token "Court" in the following address will be changed from a complex type to a street type, thus, making "Iris Court" the street line.

 Iris Court
Billerica MA

If a street line follows the complex, then the complex line will not be reassigned to a street line. In the following example, "Iris Court" is assigned an apartment line.

 Iris Court
10 Great Road
Billerica MA

By default, the CDP only checks for street lines after the complex. It does not check for street lines preceding the complex which in some cases, result in two street lines.

10 Great Road
 Iris Court
Billerica MA

In this case, "Iris Court" becomes a street line. Since there is another street line already (10 Great Road), the CDP assigns "Iris Court" a miscellaneous street line and assigns the attribute of IGNORE to both "Iris" and "Court." However, "Iris" and "Court" should be assigned complex name and complex type, respectively, and the line should be assigned an apartment line.

If you encounter this problem, select Check street lines preceding complex line in the Advanced Parser Settings window. When this option is selected, the CPLX01 function will look for preceding street lines in addition to succeeding street lines.

Other Functions

FLR01

Allows standalone floor numbers to be valid. It applied to floor numbers.

TSQ0x

(x=1-8)

Add weight (1-8) to the number of tokens found. This tips the scale (weights/number of tokens) for a particular attribute/line type.

TSQ09

Forces the line type to be associated with the attribute containing the weight.

Example : A street attribute forces the line to be an "S" line type.
