You can view the actual one-to-one relationship between linked records by specifying a Link file. After the Relationship Linker or Reference Matcher is run, all linking relationships are written out to the linking attributes in the Link file.

Specifying a link file

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Relationship Linker or Reference Matcher process and select Edit Process.
  2. Select the Process tab.
  3. Click Advanced and select the Linking option.
  4. In Type of match to write to Link file, select one of the following options:
    • Passes only. Only passing matches are written to the link file.
    • Suspects only. Only suspect matches are written to the link file.
    • Both. Both passing and suspect matches are written to the link file.
  5. Select the Attribute to write to Link file when records are found to be a match.
  6. If you want to select or bypass certain records, click inside of Output data filter. Build an expression to select or bypass rows in the Expression Builder.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Once you are satisfied with the settings, click Back.
  9. If you want to generate a transaction output entity in addition to the Link file, select the Output settings tab and click the Generate Output Entity check box. See Input and Output for Linking for output entity requirements.
  10. Click Finish.
