You can redefine output attributes to change the layout of the output schema. Redefinition is used when you create a new attribute in the output schema and map one or more attributes from the input to the newly created output attribute. You can also use redefinition to split up the existing output attribute into sub-attributes or to give it different names (synonyms).
For example, you have two attributes in the input: First Name and Last Name. You want to have only one attribute consisting of these attributes in the output. You can create a new output attribute called Full Name, and then drag and drop Fist Name and Last Name to Full Name to create a redefinition.
