After you add entities in the Control Center, create Baseline Analysis projects that contain references to one or more entities, attributes, and permanent joins stored in a repository.
Baseline Analysis projects:
- Help you manage the different sets of data, profiling activities, and derived metadata rule analysis that can be performed on your data.
- Allow you to logically group objects for the purpose of data investigation by business area, user, project phase, testing activity, or priority.
- Are viewable in the Navigation View and the Summary Data View, helping you identify the objects you are working with and the status of your profiling activities.
Entities and attributes used in Baseline Analysis projects can also be used across other projects and project types. In other words, it is possible for the same entity or attribute to be contained in multiple Baseline Analysis, Time Series Analysis, Joins, or Quality projects.
