The export and import functions allow you to move a join project to a different machine or repository.

Exporting Join Project

To export a joins project

  1. In the Discover > Analysis tab, expand the Join Projects node. Then, select the join project you want to export.
  2. Right-click and select Export from the drop-down menu options.

    The Export Join Project window opens.

  3. Select from Export to server file system or the Export to local file system option. Export to local file system is not available if your Repository Administrator selected the Disable access to file system setting for your environment.
  4. If you selected to export to the server, enter the relative path to the server system.
  5. If you selected to export project to your local system, click Browse and select the destination folder.
  6. Click Export to export the join project. The exported project is saved as a *.prj file.

Importing Join Project

To import a joins project

  1. In the Discover > Analysis tab, right-click Join Projects node and select Import from the drop-down menu options.

    The Join Project Import window opens.

  2. Specify a name for the project:
    • To keep the default name, keep the Use default project name option.
    • To specify a custom name, select the New project name option and specify the name in the text box beside the option.
  3. Specify the location from where you will import the project.
    • Select Import from server file system if the project is saved on the server system.
    • Select Import from local file system if the project is saved locally on your system. This option is not available if your Repository Administrator selected the Disable access to file system setting for your environment.
  4. Click Browse and select the project.
  5. Click Import to import the project into Control Center.

    The scheduler notification bar opens.

  6. (Optional) Change the job name.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • To schedule the job to run immediately, click Now. The message closes and the job begins running in the background.
    • Click Later. The Set Date & Time scheduler window opens. To immediately run the job in the background, click Run Now. To schedule a time, select a starting date on the calendar and select a time you want the job to run on the selected date. Click Submit to save the scheduled time.
    • Click Cancel to cancel the task.

    When the job completes, the join project is imported and listed in the Join Projects node.
