Users with administrator privileges can configure the integration between Data360 DQ+ and Data360 Govern, allowing you to view Data360 DQ+ dashboards in Data360 Govern.

These steps assume that an Environment, Data Views, Analysis, and so on, have been created and configured in Data360 DQ+. See the Data360 DQ+ documentation for details.
  1. In Data360 DQ+, configure portal integration:
    1. From the menu at the top of the screen, select Admin > Settings, then in the General Settings panel, click Portal Integrations.
    2. Select Yes to enable Portal Integration and enter the Data360 Govern URL in the Portal Host Names field. You'll find the URL in the web browser's address bar when loading the Data360 Govern instance.
Note: Use only the protocol://server.com portion of the address. For example: https://docs.example.data3sixty.com.
  2. In Data360 DQ+, configure the connection details:
    1. From the menu at the top of the screen, select Admin > Environments, then select the environment name.
    2. Select the Govern tab and go to the Govern Connection Configuration section.
    3. Enter the Data360 Govern server URL. The server URL is the base URL used for all Data360 Govern API calls. You'll find it in the web browser's address bar when loading the Data360 Govern instance.
Note: Use only the protocol://server.com portion of the address. For example: https://docs.example.data3sixty.com.
    4. Enter the Data360 Govern API Key and Secret. The API Key and Secret values are generated by Data360 Govern for each application instance. To get this information, position the cursor over the User Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen and select API Key.
Note: If you do not have administrator access, you might need to contact your system administrator if the API Key option is not visible in your user profile menu.
  3. Click Test Connection. If the connection details are correct, save the configuration.
After you have configured the connection, metadata is pushed to Data360 Govern whenever a data stage is created, updated, or deleted. You can also push metadata manually by clicking Synchronize Now, or you can define a regular schedule for pushing metadata.
Note: It is important to keep in mind how the connection will affect the entire system. It is recommended that you schedule synchronization jobs for a reasonable interval, taking into account how often data is updated. Closely recurring jobs can adversely affect performance, particularly if large data sets are regularly pushed.
