By creating policy assets, you can ensure that everyone in your organization has one common definition for a particular policy, and has a common understanding of how to comply with that policy. Policies can be depicted graphically, so that you can quickly and easily visualize the policy and every other type of asset with which it interfaces.
Listed below are some well known regulations that users commonly record as assets:
-
Data protection regulations, for example, GDPR.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation adapted by the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the European Commission that strengthens and unifies personal data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU), and limits the export of personal data outside the EU.
-
Insurance regulations, for example, HIPAA and Solvency II Directive.
-
Financial regulations, for example, BCBS239, CCAR, CECL, Basel III, MiFID and Dodd Frank.
-
Internal business policies, for example, Departmental and Opioid Monitoring.
You are not restricted to government laws and regulations. You can also use Data360 Govern to record internal rules and regulations that are specific to your company.
To display a menu of the policy types that are available to you, and how many policies of each type exist, select Policies from the navigation bar on the left of the screen. To display a list of all available policies in the selected type, click a policy type. You can:
