- On the Add Asset Type button to create a new top-level policy. page, click the
- In the Add Asset Type dialog, enter a Name for the new policy, and optionally enter a Description.
- Define a Maximum Depth. This is the maximum depth of nested child policy assets.
- Choose whether you want the asset to be shown by default by setting the Default Read Access, then click Add Asset Type.
You can also define these settings:
- Predicate to Parent - The relationship type used by the policy if a child policy is created. For example, policy A is a child of policy B.
- Background Color - The color of the box used in lineage diagrams.
- Icon - An icon to represent the asset type throughout the application.
- Fields - Determine which fields should be displayed and populated for this policy, or a child of this policy.
- Responsibility Type Assignment - Manage permissions on asset types via Responsibility Types.
- Levels - Optionally provide a name and description for each level of the policy.
