The content of the Information panel is similar to the information that is provided on the Definition tab of an asset page, and the Details tab of the Information panel on impact and lineage diagrams.
When available, you can access the information panel by clicking the Information button on the right of the screen. The panel includes:
- The name of the asset. If the field is a key field, a key icon displays next to the name.
- The asset type.
- Governance and Data Quality score, if available.
- Menu buttons, which display if you have the appropriate permissions.
- Tabs - The tabs that are available on the Information panel vary according to the asset type and page.
Menu buttons:
- Open - Opens the asset page in the same screen.
- Open in New Tab - Opens the asset page in a new browser tab.
- Edit - Opens the Edit Asset dialog.
Tabs:
- Details tab - On an asset list page, the Details tab lists the fields that have been defined on a selected asset, organized by category, in a similar way to the fields on the Definitions tab of an asset detail page. On an asset type list page, the Details tab shows the asset type definition details, including any description and assigned color and icon information.
- Fields - On an asset type list page, the Fields tab allows you to view the fields that have been defined on a selected asset type, without leaving the asset type list page. You can add a new field from the side panel by clicking the Add Field button.
- Ownership tab - Displays the responsibility types and responsible parties for the appropriate asset, including the via and context details, which are usually displayed in the Ownership Lookup table.
