To reduce the number of duplicate records in your system, before committing a record to your CRM database Trillium Quality for Dynamics compares it with existing active records. If it detects potentially duplicate records, and if you have been assigned the duplicate detection security role, a window alerts you to the duplicates and lists those records for you to examine. Optionally, if you have been assigned the merge security role, you can merge information from duplicate records, keeping one active record with more complete data.

When Cross Match Mode is enabled by your system administrator, you can also match across lead and contact entities, and, optionally, merge a lead into a contact. See Cross-Entity Matching and Merging.

Note: Trillium Quality for Dynamics does not use Dynamics 365’s duplicate detection rules. Those rules are disabled for entities in which Trillium Quality for Dynamics is used.
