Trillium Quality for Dynamics provides pre-defined batch requests. You can customize the default requests for a specific batch run, or, if you will use a set of options repeatedly, you can create and save a customized batch request.

To create a custom batch request

  1. Log on as a user with administrative privileges.

  2. In Dynamics 365, in Settings select TSS Batch Requests. The TSS Batch Requests window opens, listing the default requests and any additional requests that have been created.

  3. Click New, or click a request name to modify an existing request.

    Request Information Window
  4. In the General area of the Information window:

    1. Enter a name for the request.

    2. (Optional) By default, the current user is identified as the owner of the request. To change the owner, click the Search icon in the Owner field and select a new owner.

  5.  In the Details area of the Information window:

    1. Enter the name of the entity to be processed. Entity names are case sensitive.

    2. Specify the type of batch job to be run by selecting Cleanse Only, Match Only, Auto Merge, Cross Match, Auto Merge (Cross Match).

Note: Do not select the Master Batch option. Master Batch requests are not run using the Standard Batch Manager; they are for use by the system administrator only.
Note: If you entered an entity name other than lead or contact, you cannot specify the Auto Merge (Cross Match) batch job type.
    3. If you select Auto Merge as the Batch Type, you can set the Auto Merge Type, which determines the master record based on the record’s creation date and time. Select Youngest (the default) or Oldest.

Note: Records must be cleansed and matched before being merged. See Automatically Merging Matched Records for information on using Auto Merge.
    4. (Optional) Modify the Max Batch Set Processes to optimize processing speed. The Max Batch Set Processes specifies the number of batch sets that will run concurrently. See About Batch Sets for information on batch sets.

    5. (Optional) Modify the Data List Size to optimize processing speed. The Data List Size specifies the number of records processed in each batch set. See About Batch Sets for information on batch sets.

    6. Specify the Fetch Type, selecting All Active Records (the default), or Custom FetchXml.

    7. If you select the Custom FetchXml Batch Type, enter the XML statements to be used to filter your records. See Creating a Custom Query for information on creating a FetchXml file.

  6. Click SAVE & CLOSE to create the new TSS request; the new request is added to the TSS Batch Requests list. You can run the request as described in Running a Standard Batch Process.
