Inherited attributes are output attributes that are copied from the previous process or input entity. You cannot delete inherited attributes but you can ignore them so that they will not be included in the output of the process.

To ignore inherited attributes from a schema

  1. Open the process from which you want to remove attributes.

  2. Select the Schema Editor tab. The Schema Editor opens.

  3. Right-click an inherited attribute and select Ignore. The attribute is removed from the output schema and shown with an X mark in the Schema Editor.

  4. (Optional) To put the inherited attribute back in the output schema, right-click the attribute and remove the check mark of Ignore.

  5. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the process and select Apply Schema Changes.

  6. When the message box displays, click OK.
