After you select the rule set(s) to associate, map the names of all attributes in the rule set(s) to attributes in the data source. Attributes are pre-mapped if the names are the same in the data source and the rule set. You can define similar mappings to multiple data sources at a time.
Note: You must map all rule set attributes to data source attributes. However, every data
source attribute does not require a rule set mapping.
To map data source attributes with rule set attributes

In the Add Rule Set Associations to Data Source window, open the Map tab.

In the Map drop-down list, the rule sets you selected on the Select tab are listed. By default, the first rule set is selected and its associated attributes are listed in the Rule Set Attributes column. You can choose another rule set to map or keep the default.

In the Rule Set Attribute column, only unmapped rule set attributes are listed by default.
- To view only the mapped attributes, click Show Mapped.
- To view all mapped and unmapped rule set attributes, click Show all.
Note: Each rule set attribute must be mapped to a data source attribute.

To map an attribute, do one of the following:
- From the Data Source
Attributes list, drag an attribute onto a rule set attribute name.
- Select an attribute name in the Rule Set Attribute column, then double-click a data source attribute.
The mapped value is listed in the Mapped to column.
Note: A data source attribute that is already mapped has an asterisk (*) next to its
name. You can keep this mapping or change it as needed.
- Optional:
To use the same mapping for data source and rule set attributes with identical
names, click In all Rule Sets.

Continue until all attributes in the rule set are mapped.

If you have multiple rule sets, click Map Next. (If you are mapping only one rule set, go to Step 8). The Map drop -down list refreshes and shows the next rule set to map. Continue mapping attributes. After mapping is complete for all rule sets, you see the message:
Rule set mapping is complete.

Click Summary to see an overview of your selections. Click the edit icon (
) of a step to make changes to your selections. Click In Progress to open the Map tab. Click Back to return to the Map tab.

Do one of the following:
- Click Done to save your settings and open the Associate tab.
- Click Cancel or the X icon to close the Add Rule Set Associations to Data Source window without saving your work.
Note: To edit the attribute mapping at a later time, from the Library open the rule
set, click Associate, and select Edit Mappings from the Association
Task drop-down list.
