You can delete one or more rule sets from the repository. Since the Discovery Center provides the capability to delete multiple rule sets at once (potentially hundreds of rule sets), backup your data before you proceed. Once you delete rule sets, they are removed from the Trillium repository.

Note: You cannot delete rule sets that have data associations.Remove the associations before you delete the rule set.

To delete one or more rule sets

  1. In the Rule Sets tab of the Business Rules Library, select one or more rule sets by clicking the check box, or anywhere in the row, to highlight it. To select multiple rule sets, press the Ctrl or Shift key and click the rows you want to delete. To select all rows in the current view, click Select Page.
  2. Click Delete.
    • If the selected rule sets have no data association, you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
    1. Click Delete. A confirmation message opens after all rule sets are deleted.
    2. Click OK to close the message.
    • If one or more selected rule sets have data associations, you see the message: The selected Rule Set(s) are associated to Data Sources and must be disassociated from data before they can be deleted. Click OK to close the message.

After a rule set has been deleted from the Trillium server and you try to go back to the page that shows the rule set details, you will see the message: The item is no longer available, it was deleted from the server.
