After searching for a business rule, you can export the search results to your server or local system. The exported file is saved in the comma-delimited format (.CSV) with double-quotes so that you can use it in other applications for data remediation. You can also export the analysis results of rules associated with a specific data source. If you export all rows, you can only export to the server system.

Note: Some of the column names are different in the sever export file. For example, Filter By Error Count is displayed as Filter Error Count and Rule Set is displayed as Library.

To export business rule search results

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the Rules Search Results view, select the Rules Results tab.
    • From the Data Sources search results view, double-click a data source. The Data Rows and Rule Results tabs open. Select the Rule Results tab.
  2. Select the rules and columns you want to export. To select a row, click the check box, or anywhere in the row, to highlight it. To select multiple rows, press the Ctrl or Shift key and click the rows you want to export. To select all rows on a page, click Select Page.
  3. Click Export Results or Export Rows and select Export Selected Rows or Export All Rows. The Export Selected Rows or Export All Rows window opens.
    Note: When you select Export All Rows and you have run a filtered search, only those rules (rows) returned in the filtered results view will be exported.
  4. If you export selected rows, select one of following Export to destinations.
    • Select Server file system to export a file to the server system. The exported file(s) are saved in the default export location: (C:\Program Data\Trillium Software\MBSW\version\Data\export)
    • Select Local file system to export to your local file system.
  5. Enter a name for the file. Do not include any of the following invalid characters in the file name: \ / : * ? " < > |
  6. Click Export.

    For server exports, the file is exported to the default export location. If there is a file with the same name in the download location, it will be replaced with the new file.

  7. Optional: If you are exporting to your local system, do one of the following:
    • Click Save. The file is emostxported to your browser's default download location: C:\Users\username\Downloads. If there is a file with the same name in the download location, the file name will be appended with a unique number.
    • Click Save As to save the file to a specific location. In the Save As window, browse to the location where you want to save the file and click Save. If there is a file with the same name in the download location, you are prompted to replace the file. Click Yes to replace the file or No and then enter a unique name. Click Save.
    • Click Save and Open to save the file to the default location and open the file now. If there is a file with the same name in the download location, the new file name will be appended with a unique number.
