When you finish your data analysis and keys, dependencies, and joins remain with a
status of discovered, you can delete them if they are not relevant to further analysis. You
can also delete a permanent relationship when it is no longer valid. Deleting a join, key, and
dependency permanently removes it from the repository. You can also delete joins when you view
join analysis.
Delete a Relationship

Open a data source and click the Summary tab. Details about the data
source display, including the Relationships table. This table shows the
number of permanent and discovered keys, dependencies, and joins in the data
source.

To open a relationship tab from the table, do one of the following:
- Click a number link to open a tab showing associated permanent or
discovered relationships.
- Click the Keys, Dependencies, or Joins column title.
A tab for the selected relationship opens.
Note: You can also open relationship tabs from the Source
Metadata tab by double-clicking any key, dependency, or join metadata row
showing a value of 1 or more.

On the relationship tab, select the row or rows that contain the relationship(s)
you want to delete.

Click Delete. A message opens asking you to confirm the deletion.

Do one of the following:
- Click Yes. The relationships are removed from the tab view and the
Relationships table updates to reflect the change.
- Click No to cancel the action.
Delete joins when viewing join analysis
To delete joins when viewing join analysis

Click View Joins and run a search for the analysis that contains the join
you want to delete.

From the Join Analyses tab, double-click a row. The Joins tab opens.

On the Joins tab, select one or more rows.

Click Delete. A confirmation message opens.

Click Yes to delete the joins and remove them from the Joins tab or
No to cancel the action. If you delete a join displayed in a Venn Diagram,
the Venn Diagram is replaced with the join in the first row of the Joins tab.
