The Hub allows you to take data and send it to Targets based on the licenses with which it is running. These licenses enable Source/Target pairs, for example, IBMi to Splunk or IBMZ to Datadog.
You do not need any license to run the Hub, but its functionality will be restricted to sending on Assure MIMIX HealthLink data, which you configure using the Journal Monitor and Field Description dialogs. With no licenses in effect, you cannot create an IBMZ source, and you will see messages in the Portal and in the log files reminding you that only HealthLink data will be processed, even if you attempt to set up other capture of any other data.
