The Hub will only allow the creation and use of the Sources and Targets permitted by the sum of the contents of the valid license files. For example, if you have a BigPanda license, you can only use the HTTP target with a URL that points to a BigPanda instance, or if with a Splunk license, an HTTP target that points to a Splunk URL.
You will see error messages in the Portal informing you if your entry does not conform to the license(s) you have. If you attempt to directly edit the configuration files, log entries will be written explaining why a pipeline is not permitted to start.
