The Installer uses the version code to determine if you are doing a fresh installation or an upgrade. If you have already installed the application, the latest version of the Installer will be installed. The Installer automatically detects the latest version, and an upgrade Welcome screen comes up.

The Installer automatically detects if an older version has been used. If an older version has been used, an error message is displayed.

The Installer pulls DB settings details from WebConfig and validates those details before proceeding with the upgrade. The minimum space required = 20% of the total space of the Installer source.

The Welcome screen includes the product name and version and links to the system requirements, the Winshuttle website, and Customer Support.

If you want to stop the installation, click Cancel. Click Next to proceed.

For the link to work properly, add the following entries in the trusted sites list of IE 11:

  • https://winshuttle - web - static.s3.amazonaws.com

The Terms and Conditions screen allows you to accept or decline the terms and conditions, and you can print the page. Also provided here is a link to the Winshuttle EULA and privacy policy.

    Pre-Installation Check

Click Next to proceed with the upgrade.

The settings displayed on the Installation screen are those which were configured by the Installer during the fresh or modify installation. If settings are changed directly from IIS, those changes will not be reflected here and the Installer will not introduce those changes.

Click Back to return to the Database and its user authentication details screen. If you would like to stop the installation, click Cancel. Click Upgrade to proceed with the upgrade process.

Note: If an instance or instances of chromium are running as you upgrade, a File in use screen will be displayed. Click Ignore and proceed. When the upgrade installation is complete, you will be required to reboot.

The Installation screen will indicate that the upgrade is in progress.

The Finish screen indicates a successful upgrade and notes the configuration. Select the Launch Site checkbox and then click Finish to launch the site.
