The 20.2 Installer is set to Simple. If you are upgrading, it will remain a “full recovery model” (as of version 20.0). We recommend that after upgrading, you set it to Simple.

After the Studio Manager installation, change the Studio Manager database recovery model to Simple if it is shown as Full. To change the model to Simple, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Studio Manager database properties.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Change the Recovery model value to Simple

Redirection for Evolve site is not working in case Redirection entry on that VM already exists on the IIS level before Evolve/Studio Manager installation

If you require a reboot once the installation is complete, the following screen is displayed:

If a fresh installation fails, the Installer ‘rollbacks’ and the following screen is displayed:

To authenticate the deployed site, enter the authentication details you provided during Installation. The deployed Evolve application has now been verified and is ready for your use.

  1. On landing page, select the Language and Locale from the dropdown menus and click Next.
  2. Global Administrator details screen appears. Fill in user details by clicking on lookup for user who willbe the Global Administrator for Evolve/SM. Click Next.

  3. Activate License screen appears next. Select the Environment Type based on environment of Evolve being set up. This will be in sync with the license type purchased for Evolve/SM. Click Next.

With Evolve and Studio Manager we require to set a value for the field Environment Type which lets us know about the environment user is using. The Environment Type can be Development, Production or QA. Gathering this information helps us with API billing (done only for the production system) and better reporting for further improvements. Whenever a new activation code is created (for example from Salesforce or Sales Relay) Development, QA or Production are the types of licenses generated for a customer. On first time installation, the Administrator will be required to select the Environment Type on the first user creation screen.

On Activate License screen, user needs to provide Environment type which can be Development, QA, or Production, also User will provide the activation code which we match with Environment Type for each environment. This value is retrieved from the license activation code being used (in case of Fresh install) or activation code last activated (in case of upgrade scenario). If this does not match, the user will see an error for example "Licensing Environment type is Production and selected environment is development. This combination is not allowed." In case of QA and Development, if user selects Environment Type QA and provides activation

code for Development or vice versa, user will see a warning for example "Licensing Environment type is Development and selected environment Type is QA. Please confirm if you want to proceedwith the selected environment type." Once you add the details for Environment Type, Activation Code and other required details and click on Next, you will now be able to see Environment Type field populated with value you agreed upon.

Add the activation code and description for activating licenses in case Evolve/SM Server has internet access.
