If you are modifying the installed product, you are requiring changes. These changes can made in two ways: by adding new or modifying installed features, or by making changes to the specifications or configuration of the installed product.

Database user authentication details

You can change the Database Server and/or Database Name with a compatible Studio Manager DB. If a Database is not compatible, a message such as the one below will appear.

You can change the Authentication type for application connectivity with database from Windows Authentication to SQL Server by clicking the Authentication Mode drop-down option.

We can change the Windows authentication to SQL Authentication to setup the application database. Select the check box and provide the SQL user credentials. Then click Next to proceed.

On the Website screen, select “https” in the Address drop-down menu. Select the SSL Certificate. The database provided must be the same version as the Installer; otherwise, an error message will be displayed.

If you change the website URL when executing a Modify of the Evolve Server Installer, you also must execute the Modify EvolveWorker Installer to add and support the new changed website URL.

If the App Pool details were not loaded properly, you will be required to enter the details again.

Click Next to validate the information provided. If validation fails, you will receive an error message. On the Installation screen, you confirm the configuration details.

The Installation screen will indicate that the modification is in progress.

When the modification has completed successfully, the Finish screen will come up. When you click Finish, select the check box to launch the site.

Note: If you made manual changes to the application after installing Studio Manager (IIS application pool recycle time, or web.config values, for example), you must verify those changes again.

When you have modified the server, retain the existing SAP GUI entries key(s) values; if there are no keys, do not establish new ones.

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI - StartSAPLogon.

If the Installer is unable to start the Application Pool after Studio Manager has been modified, the Installer will request that you attempt to start the App Pool manually. This request will appear on the final screen.
