Note: For any new install on more than two nodes (or on 1 node only), use the instructions in After a wizard new install (3+ nodes) or a command-based install or upgrade.

The wizard started the Assure Unified Interface (UI) server, the MIMIX subsystem, port jobs, and data protection reports on all nodes. If you used the default value, the wizard also started MIMIX (STRMMX command). To access the Assure UI portal to continue configuring MIMIX, do the following:

  1. Check the special instructions above for details of any actions required after installing new environments.

  2. If the installation wizard is still open, click the Launch Assure Unified Interface button on the Summary panel to open a browser window.

If the wizard is not open, use the following URL in the address bar of your web browser, specifying the IP address or host name where the Assure UI server is installed and the configured port. The default port is 8410.

    http://server:port
  3. Log in using your IBM i user ID and password.

  4. If you are the first person to log in, portal connections and an instance that connects to your new installation are created. Otherwise, follow the instructions in the Enterprise Status portlet in the Home folder, to configure portal connections and an instance.

  5. If necessary, start MIMIX using the Start MIMIX action from the Nodes portlet on the Summary page.

  6. Select the instance. Instructions in the Replication Environment portlet on the Summary page direct you how to start completing your configuration using the Data Protection Reports portlet on the Analysis page. For more information, see online help for the Data Protection Reports portlet.
