The Administration Center allows you to modify certain properties of a repository after it has been added to the repository server, including the profiling pattern and public cache size. A repository's name and language/region property cannot be modified after the repository is created.

When you open a single repository for viewing or editing, the following tabs open below the panel:

  • Data Connections. Shows metadata for all connections accessible by the repository.
  • Data Sources. Shows all data sources in the repository. The value in the Connection Data column shows which data connection was used when the data source was added to the repository.
Note: You edit one repository at a time.

To modify repository properties

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Manage Repositories from the navigation menu. Search for the repository you want to edit. On the Repositories tab, double-click a row.
    • Find a repository from the Home page, from either the Edit panel or by double-clicking a row on the Repositories at-a-glance view.
    • From the Repositories tab when you open a data connection for editing. Double-click a row to open the repository.

The Repository: Name panel opens. Below the panel, the Data Connections tab displays a list of all data connections currently associated with the repository.

  2. Modify the Data Profiling Pattern as needed.
  3. Modify the Public Cache Size as needed. To specify a cache size not listed in the drop-down, select Custom and enter an MB value.
Note: Ensure the total cache size for all repositories on the server does not exceed available server memory. If it does, you will be limited in the number of repositories you can add to the server.
  4. The number of connections associated with the current repository displays next to Data Connections. To add a new data connection, click New Data Connection. The New Data Connection window opens. For more information, see Adding New Data Connections.
  5. View and edit associated data connections from the Data Connections tab below the Repository: Name panel:
    • Perform actions by selecting one or more rows and clicking Enable, Disable, or Export Rows.
    • Double-click a row to open a single data connection to view and edit.

For more information, see Modifying Data Connection Properties.

  6. Click Save to save your changes.
  7. Click Done to close the repository and return to the previous view.
