This section describes some common operational issues that may be encountered while using the VSAM Capture agent.

One of the most common problems that you are likely to encounter is that changed data is not being captured after you have configured a data capture agent.
  1. Make sure that all of the environment preparation, component configuration and component verification activities have been completed successfully for the data capture agent that you are working with.
  2. Verify that:
    • The LOGSTREAMID and LOGREPLICATE parameters have been added to the VSAM files Cluster specification.
    • The load library containing the data capture agent is in the LINKLIST. If this is the case, then perform a refresh of the LINKLIST library (i.e. executing the LLA, REFRESH command from the operator’s console).
    • You are not currently using a BR14 version of the data capture agent.
