Editing Data

To edit an attribute value, click the value's cell. A tooltip will appear that states the data type of the attribute. If the attribute has an associated code set, you can either select the value from the dropdown or enter the value manually. If the attribute is a repeating attribute with an associated code set, you must enter the value manually.

Add a Parent Record

Adding a parent record adds a record to the root repository. The parent record must be in a repository that has a child repository that is included in the template. To add a parent record:

  1. Either click the Add Parent Record button on the toolbar; or right-click a cell, select SmartTemplate Pro at the bottom of the menu, and select Add Parent Record.
  2. The cursor will be moved to the first row after the last row on the sheet, to the first attribute cell. Edit the record as desired.
  3. The record will be saved when you save the workbook, but it will not be uploaded to EnterWorks until the next time you post your data.

Add a Child Record

You can only add a child record to records belonging to repositories that have a child repository included in the template. To add a child record to a parent record:

  1. Put your cursor in one of the cells in the repository record you will be creating a child record for.
  2. Either click the Add Child Record button on the toolbar; or right-click the cell, select SmartTemplate Pro at the bottom of the menu, and select Add Child Record.
  3. If the cursor is in a cell of a repository which has at least one child repository, a dialog will appear to add a child record.
    • Selected Cell: The column and row number of the cell in the sheet. This is presented for informational purposes only.

    • Repository Name: The name of the repository in which the selected cell exists.

    • Select Child Repository: A list of the repository's child repositories.

  4. Select the desired child repository and click OK. The cursor will be moved to a cell in the child record. If this is the first child for the record, the cursor will be on the same row. If record already has children records, a new row will be added to hold the child record.
  5. Edit the record as desired. The record will not be added to EnterWorks until the next time data is posted.
