The Geometry Validator is a command line utility that validate tab files using the types of geometries defined in the file. It can be downloaded from the Spectrum Spatial section of the Welcome Page, under Geometry Validator on the Utilities tab.
The output of this utility will contain the record id of the geometry that is not valid and the reason why the geometry is not valid. Once the invalid records have been found, use MapInfo Pro to correct the geometries.
There are two options available when using this utility:
- Validate an individual TAB file
- Validate all TAB files in a particular folder.
By running the validate_geometry.bat utility with no parameters or with the -help parameter, you will get more details about the options above.
