Data replication is a collection of data transfers that allow you to move data to a target location. The data replication process allows customers who have applications running on different platforms to share the data and remain in sync.

AWS Mainframe Modernization, among other things, provides a set of AMIs that run managed tools to enable the migration, modernization, and running of mainframe application. All modernization efforts will require easy and secure access to application data through a data replication tool. This document focuses how to acquire and use the AWS Mainframe Modernization Data Replication with Precisely AMI that provides batch or near-real time access to the application data still residing on the Mainframe in DB2, IMS, or VSAM.
