The extraction process is enabled by changing the status for extraction policy using the Set MIMIX Policy (SETMMXPCY) command (requires *MGT Product Level Security) in an Assure MIMIX instance library. This policy is supported in Assure Unified Interface. Details about each policy option are provided in the parameter specific help text (F1 on each prompt).

Do the following to enable extraction:

  1. From the command line type SETMMXPCY and press F4 (Prompt).
  2. Verify that the value *INST is specified for the Data group definition prompt.
  3. Press Enter to see all the policies and their current values.
  4. Press Page Down to locate the Status for extraction STSEXT prompts. The

    current values are displayed in the prompts.

    1. For the Collection prompt, specify *ENABLED.
    2. Accept or change the Frequency (minutes) prompt.
    3. Accept or change the System to collect status prompt.
    4. Press Enter.
  5. To make the change effective, you must end (ENDCOLSRV) and start (STRCOLSRV) the Collector Services job on the system(s) where extraction will occur.
