Data formats
Suburbs and Localities Australia data is provided in the following standard file formats:
- MapInfo Extended Tab files (.tab)
- Pipe Delimited Text (.psv)
- File Geodatabase (.gdb)
New in this release
No new features are introduced in this release.
Changes in this release
This release contains the following updates:
- The folder names have been changed to lowercase.
- Boundary changes are based on the latest source data:
- New Suburbs: ASCHE (NT), SOUTHWARK (SA)
- Deleted Suburbs: None
- Renamed Suburbs: None.
Future Updates
Folder name changes: To align with global product standardization activities, folder names in the Suburbs and Localities Australia datasets will be changed to lowercase. This change will take effect with the March 2026 release.
