Purpose: The ZFORCE command modifies the product status flag to deactivate the requested product. The ZFORCE command can also be used to reinitialize the subsystem control blocks for DIF: the SSCVT or SSVT. Also, the pointer to the DIF common service routines (CSR) can be cleared.
Warning: Only use the
ZFORCE command under the direction of customer support. Syntax:
ZFORCE {CSR | SSCVT | SSVT | product}
Important: This command should never be required under normal
circumstances. Only issue a force command when requested by technical support. This command
can have undesired results. For example, a product may be deactivated without common storage
being freed.
Note: This command can be deactivated with the DIF
FORCE=NO parameter. For more information, examine “FORCE” on page 6-10.
Examples: If directed by technical support, the following console
command will force the termination of ACC:
