This chapter describes how to install and optionally reconfigure the Assure DQ client on z/OS. This section also describes how to install JCL for executing the Assure DQ client from batch jobs.
The client consists of data capture and other command line utilities. These utilities are written in Java™ and run under UNIX System Services.
The primary purpose of the client is to locally capture data on z/OS and pass it to the Assure DQ application on Windows or UNIX. The z/OS client does not support local data capture for data quality applications.
