This task assumes that the database administrator or the application server administrator has already set up your database. Note: If the database does not yet exist, the validation script will fail. See Database setup.

Validating the configuration values of a Precisely product in WildFly now requires that the application server is up and running.

Start WildFly server

Complete the following steps to start WildFly server prior to validating the configuration:

  1. Open <install_folder>/Infogix/bin and run the config-wildfly script to create the WildFly instance.

    For Windows:

    config-wildfly.bat -c <myConfigName>

    For UNIX or Linux:

    ./config-wildfly.sh -c <myConfigName>

where <myConfigName> is the name of your configuration.

  2. From the <install_folder>/Infogix/bin directory, execute the following command to add an administrative user to the WildFly Management realm:

    For Windows:

    add-wildfly-user.bat -c <myConfigName>
    <WILDFLY_ADMIN_USER> <WILDFLY_ADMIN_PASSWORD>

    For UNIX or Linux:

    ./add-wildfly-user.sh -c <myConfigName>
    <WILDFLY_ADMIN_USER> <WILDFLY_ADMIN_PASSWORD>

where the user ID and password specified above are the same as the values provided for WILDFLY_ADMIN_USER and WILDFLY_ADMIN_PASSWORD properties in the appserver.properties file.

Note: Note: WildFly has a separate security realm for the administrator that can log in to the console. This is different from JBoss 6.1.0, where the administrator was the SECURITY_USER.
  3. From the <install_folder>/Infogix/bin directory, execute the following command to start the WildFly instance created by the config-wildfly script.

    For Windows:

    start-wildfly.bat -c <myConfigName>

    For UNIX or Linux:

    ./start-wildfly.sh -c <myConfigName>

where <myConfigName> is the name of your configuration.

Validate configuration

Complete the following steps to validate the configuration settings:

  1. From the <install_folder>/Infogix/bin directory, execute the following command:
    • For Windows:
      validate-config-values.bat -c <myConfigName> <product>
    • For UNIX or Linux:
      ./validate-config-values.sh -c <myConfigName> <product>

where <product> represents the Precisely application, and <myConfigName> is the name of your configuration:

    • For Assure DQ, specify IA.
    • For ER, specify ER.
    • For Insight, specify II.
    • For Perceive, specify IV.
    Note: Product parameters are case-sensitive.
  2. If the command fails, open <install_folder>/Infogix/logs/<myConfigName>/<product> and review validate-config-values.log for more information about validations that failed.
