The server installation contains six zip files, a checksum file for each zip file, and two versions of the infogixextract script to extract the files to a common installation folder.

The installation folder is called <install_folder> throughout the rest of this guide. The zip files contain everything you will need to install the application database and server. Use the utility that corresponds to your operating system.

Alternately, you can request that Customer Support open an FTP site where you can download the installation files.

Optionally, you can perform a checksum for each file to ensure the integrity of the installation files after download. See “Perform File Check”.

Complete the following steps to obtain the installation files and extract them to the installation directory:

  1. From the installation CD or Support site, copy the installation files to the same location on the machine where you want to install the application.
  2. Optionally, use the checksum tool to verify that the installation files were not corrupted during the download process.

See “Perform File Check”. This step is optional.

  3. Run the following script to extract the files to the installation folder.
    for Windows®

    infogixextract.bat <install_folder>

    for UNIX or Linux

    .infogixextract.sh <install_folder>

where <install_folder> is the name of the folder that you specify for the installation files.

Important: If not specified, the script will prompt you to specify the location of JAVA_HOME. If you see this message, enter the full path of your Java home directory.

The script extracts the files from the following packages:

    • wildfly-26.1.2.zip—the WildFly package needed for the installation process
    • IP-10.0-server.zip—the Precisely platform package
    • IA-10.0-server.zip—the Assure DQ package
    • ER-10.0-server.zip—the ER® package
    • II-10.0-server.zip—the Insight package
    • IV-10.0-server.zip—the Perceive® package.

Important: If you do not use the script to unzip the installation files, make sure that all subsequent packages are unzipped into the same <install_folder>. The packages overlay their files.

Perform file check

The checksum files that are delivered with the installation files enable you to verify that the installation files have not been corrupted during the download process.

You must have an MD5 checksum tool to perform the checksum procedure. For Windows, you will need to download the checksum tool.

The tool is available from various Web sites, such as the link below. http://winmd5.com/

After downloading the tool, follow the directions to obtain a checksum value for each zip file. Compare the result to the value in the checksum file that corresponds to the zip file. If the values are the same, the files have not been corrupted.
