SyncsortTM Storage Management includes customizable JCL and control statements that indicate the type of monitoring to be done, the load libraries to be monitored, the format of the monitoring database records, and more.
Comments at the top of the JCL specify what needs to be customized for your environment. Please do not change any other lines in the JCL.
STEPLIB & PARMLIB refer to the library locations where the software is installed.
CATALOG is the critical element as it indicates which load libraries should be monitored.
Run job CMMINIT in the SAMPLIB data set to populate the PROGI dataset.
At this point you are ready to enable monitoring in your system.
