Before performing product verification, you must perform the following installation steps found in the SCC Product Installation Guide:

  • Create the distribution libraries on your host machine. The product distribution libraries can be delivered in a variety of formats, but the end result is a set of software distribution libraries on your host system.

  • Create the production data sets: DTS.R71.LOADLIB, DTS.R71.PARMLIB, DTS.R71.RULECKPT, DTS.R71.ISPFLIB, DTS.R71.DIFVAR and DTS.R71.RULELIB.

  • APF authorize the load library

  • Copy the JCL for the DIF started task to a system procedure library

  • Copy members to the parameter library: DTS.R71.PARMLIB

  • Copy load modules from the distribution library to the authorized load library

Review the CMMRULES member in the RULELIB dataset. Ensure that the SMF record number (default 201) is the value you want to use. It is possible to use the same SMF number for all of your SMF records.

Ensure you obtain the required license key from support. Then you can start the product.
