The rules language has facilities to produce messages, data records, SMF records, and operator commands. By default, RTM creates an event record that is written to the MON- ExplorerHDB database.
However, additional rules can be created to monitor DADSM events and HSM log records for error conditions, and report the errors when they occur. Messages can be delivered in many ways. By default, batch jobs and started tasks receive messages via the JES message log, and TSO users receive messages by way of the TPUT SVC.
