MON-RTM can monitor all z/OS storage requests performed on disk data sets and/or vol- umes, and create storage event records that are sent to the Explorer History Database (MON-ExplorerHDB) service. The ExplorerHDB service runs in a Linux or z/Linux environment, and stores volume and data set log records in a MySQL database. The Explorer PC-GUI application can use the database to research past events, or perform trend analysis and capacity planning.
